The first Auto Expo in 1986 was a window on technology transfer since it showed how the Indian automotive industries were absorbing new technologies and promoting indigenous R and D for adapting these technologies to the rugged Indian conditions! The 10 day show was a path breaking event with the then Prime Minister, Mr. Rajiv Gandhi visiting the show to encourage the industry.

We celebrated the 50 years of SIAM and ACMA in 2010 and 25 years of Auto Expo in 2012 which was the 11th Auto Expo organized jointly by ACMA, CII and SIAM at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India and focused on the theme ‘’Mobility for All’’.

Over the years, Auto Expo has evolved from providing a platform for joint ventures, generating enquiries, one to one interaction, etc. to a more focused and modern Motor Show. This platform is used for brand promotion and corporate image development by Exhibitors . Auto Expo has always witnessed large footfall of more than a million people visiting the show and has emerged as not only one of the largest exhibition anywhere in India both in terms of the space occupied and in terms of crowd but also one of the major Motor Shows of the world. Auto Expo attracts presence of all the automobile majors besides participation from over 30 countries including China, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, South Africa, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan, United Kingdom, United States of America, etc.

Entry to the venue would be subject to security check.
As smoking in public places is prohibited by law, please do not carry cigar, cigarette, beedi, race box, lighter etc.
Any kind of cooked / uncooked, packed / unpacked food and beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will not be allowed in the venue.
Glass/plastic containers, cans, bottles, smoke canister or any type of box will not be allowed in the venue.
Pets will not be allowed in the venue.
Any fire arm/weapon (even licensed) or any other object which can be used as a weapon, fireworks, crackers, flares, inflammable material, laser pointers etc is not allowed in the venue.

Musical instruments and/or amplification equipment, whistles / loud hailers are not allowed in the venue

Any other item prohibited by law specifically or considered to be a risk to the safety and security of the venue and others are not allowed in the venue.
Entry to the venue will be close at 17:30 or earlier as per the discretion of the organisers.
All unidentified objects must be reported to the security personnel or the police immediately.
Auto Expo: The Motor Show 2016 is a ticketed event, entry will be by tickets only. Tickets booked online can be collected from the Exchange Counters located near the venue parking. Tickets can also be collected from the designated outlets or be requested for home delivery by paying nominal charges within India till January, 2016.
Each ticket admits one person only. No ticket is required for children up to five years of age. Also, no ticket will be required for persons on wheel chair. Each ticket will be for single use (one time) entry to the exhibition venue. Right of admission in Auto Expo: The Motor Show 2016 is reserved. Organizers would have the right to deny entry to any visitor, even if the visitor possesses a valid ticket, without assigning any reason or justification. The ticket will only be valid if barcode or hologram has not been tampered with. Entry to the venue will be closed 20 minutes before the closing time.
Unlawful resale (or attempted unlawful resale) of a ticket would lead to seizure or cancellation of that ticket without refund or other compensation. Any person or an organization involved in unlawful resale of tickets is liable to be prosecuted.
Visitors are advised not to carry large band bags brief cases, backpacks, etc. In case necessary keep those in the luggage room available at entry gates where lockers will be available on hire at cost at first come first service basis subject to availability.
In case it is necessary, basic first aid/medical facilities will be provided, however, the organizers do not take any responsibility for any complication arising from the treatment administered at the venue or due to side effects caused because of previous medical history.
Internet handling fee per ticket may be levied. Please check your total amount before payment.
Tickets once booked cannot be exchanged or refunded.
We recommend that you arrive at least 20 minutes prior at the venue to pick up your physical tickets.
